In a detailed exchange, Andrew shared his experiences about moving to the US in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. He reminisces about how travel, once celebrated for its simplicity, has since become something of an ordeal. Remember when you could run and catch your flight half an hour prior to its departure?

Life in the US introduced Andrew to a cultural melting pot, Florida, where about 60% of the population originates from other states or countries. As a British expat in such a culturally diverse state, he relished this acceptance, rivalling any presumed notions of the region being conservative or unwelcoming.
